Thin, cost-effective replacement for hard chrome plating
ExoGreenTM coatings are thin, environmentally-compliant and provide an economical solution that performs equally to hard chrome plating.
They are REACH-compliant, providing a sustainable solution to eliminate the use of hard chrome plating and the hazardous waste created by the plating process.
They perform as well in service as hard chrome plating. They have comparable hardness while offering similar and sometimes better wear and corrosion protection, along with no hydrogen embrittlement concerns.
Since ExoGreen coatings can be applied extremely thin due to the coating's density, the economics are much better as compared to traditional HVOF and HVAF processes.
Tough, thin and smooth
ExoProTM coatings are cost-competitive as compared to traditional high velocity coatings, environmentally-compliant as an alternative to hard chrome, perform better than hard chrome, and are tougher than standard high velocity coatings.
The coating is deposited with a very low surface roughness as compared to traditional high velocity systems. This feature lowers the processing costs for finished part.
They are REACH-compliant, suitable alternatives to replace hard chrome with no hydrogen embrittlement concerns.
After multiple tests, ExoPro coatings have proven to perform better than hard chrome in corrosion and wear tests. ExoPro coatings do not have hard chrome's micro-cracking features, thus extending corrosion protection. Carbides have traditionally provided better wear protection versus hard chrome.
They are tougher than standard HVOF/HVAF coatings, and they have a higher strain tolerance.
Fully dense, hard and tough
ExoShieldTM coatings are fully dense, hard and tough, providing best-in-class corrosion and wear protection with exceptional finishability to less than 0.01 μm/0.05 μin Ra values.
They are fully dense, providing superior corrosion protection at high temperatures. No sealant is required and ExoShield tungsten carbide coatings are usable up to 535°C/995°F. The coatings are ideal for valves and other applications that require a gas-tight solution.
They offer best-in-class wear protection due to virtually no porosity, and low binder contents. The coatings also contain low oxide levels, yielding higher strain tolerance as compared to traditional HVOF coatings. The coatings are ideal for sliding contact applications.
They can achieve mirror finishes like hard chrome while retaining the smoothness and gloss for long periods due to the coatings' fine carbide structure and density.
They are REACH-compliant and suitable alternatives to replace hard chrome when better performance properties are required.
Ultra-thin, hard chrome replacement for textured surfaces
ExoFilmTM coatings are an ultra-thin solution for textured surfaces. They are environmentally-compliant and perform better than flash hard chrome plating.
Since ExoFilm coatings are ultra-thin, they are capable of following a textured surface. They can be applied as thin as 5 microns (0.0002") and offer a very low as-sprayed roughness. The finish has a light grey appearance like dull chrome.
They are REACH-compliant, so they provide a sustainable solution to eliminate the use of hard chrome plating and the hazardous waste created by the plating process.
They perform equal to, if not better than, flash hard chrome. They have a comparable hardness, while offering much better wear and corrosion protection.
